What is STRIMIX?

STRIMIX is a native IPTV client application for iOS and macOS, built with SwiftUI. It's designed to connect to your existing IPTV service provider, allowing you to watch live TV, movies, series, and radio on your Apple devices. STRIMIX does not provide or host any content.

Do I Need an IPTV Subscription?

Yes. STRIMIX is a player/client app only. You must have a valid subscription from an IPTV service provider to use the app. STRIMIX connects to your provider's service—we do not provide content or subscriptions.

How Do I Add My IPTV Service?

Go to the Portal section in the app and tap the "+" button. Enter your portal URL and MAC address provided by your IPTV service. If your provider offers a PIN code, you can use the Quick Portal Setup feature for faster configuration.

Can I Connect Multiple IPTV Services?

Absolutely! STRIMIX supports multiple portals simultaneously. You can add as many IPTV services as you want and switch between them easily from the Portal section. Each portal maintains its own settings and favorites.

Does STRIMIX Sync Across My Devices?

Yes! If you enable iCloud on your Apple devices, STRIMIX will automatically sync your portal settings, favorites, and watch history across all your devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac). This uses iCloud Key-Value Storage and is completely private—your data stays in your personal iCloud account.

How Do I Download Content for Offline Viewing?

Navigate to any movie or series in the VOD section and tap the download button. STRIMIX uses HLS download technology to save content directly to your device. Access your downloads from the Downloads Library, even without an internet connection—perfect for travel.

What Video Formats Are Supported?

STRIMIX is powered by MobileVLCKit (VLC for iOS), which supports all standard IPTV streaming formats including HLS (m3u8), MPEG-TS, and more. The app works with virtually all IPTV services that use standard protocols.

How Does the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) Work?

STRIMIX automatically fetches and displays the EPG from your IPTV provider. You can browse program schedules, view show details, and see what's currently playing and coming up next on each channel. The EPG updates automatically.

Where Do the Movie Posters and Details Come From?

STRIMIX integrates with The Movie Database (TMDb) API to display rich metadata including posters, descriptions, ratings, cast information, and release dates. This makes browsing your library beautiful and informative. All metadata is fetched directly from TMDb's servers.

Is My Data Private and Secure?

Absolutely. STRIMIX collects zero data. No analytics, no tracking, no servers receiving your information. Your portal credentials and viewing habits are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is encrypted in your personal iCloud account—we never have access to it.

What Devices Are Supported?

STRIMIX is a universal Apple app available for iPhone, iPad, and macOS. Purchase once and use on all your devices. It's designed natively with SwiftUI for optimal performance on each platform.

How Do I Manage Favorites?

Simply tap the heart icon on any channel, movie, or series to add it to your Favorites. Access all your favorites from the dedicated Favorites section. Your favorites automatically sync across devices when iCloud is enabled.

Can I Watch Live TV and VOD?

Yes! STRIMIX supports all content types provided by your IPTV service: Live TV channels with EPG, Movies (VOD), TV Series, and Radio stations. The app organizes everything into easy-to-navigate sections.

Does STRIMIX Cost Money?

No, STRIMIX is completely free to download and use! There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no hidden fees. The app was built out of frustration with the lack of quality MAG portal support on Apple devices, and it turned out good enough to share with everyone. Remember, you still need a separate IPTV service subscription from a provider to stream content.

What If My IPTV Provider Changes Their Service?

You can easily update your portal credentials in the Portal section. Simply edit the existing portal with new information from your provider, or add a new portal if you're switching providers entirely.

How Do I Clear the App Cache?

Go to Settings within STRIMIX to clear cached images and metadata. This can help free up storage space or resolve issues with outdated information. Your portal settings and favorites will not be affected.
